Some sources identify bit padding as a type of bit stuffing. Which it at least some sort of information but not enough explanation for me. I don´t quite understand what that means exactly. The C language provides the four basic arithmetic type specifiers char, int, float and double, and the modifiers signed, unsigned, short, and long.
